Nicole Sandler shares her story of starting out in college radio at the University of Southern Florida, Tampa then working for a series of prominent major market stations across America. She's even hosted nationally syndicated radio shows such as for the progressive radio network Air America. The network lasted from March 2004 to January 2010, as Nicole was heard at the tail-end of that run. She has worked in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Miami, Tampa and other markets.
This first of four segments covers the stations where Nicole programmed, including the eclectic triple A station KSCA (FM 101.9) in Los Angeles from 1994 to 1997. She also programmed triple A station WXRV (The River) near the Boston market as well as Channel 103.1 in Los Angeles.
One of her most memorable radio jobs was working as the producer for the nationally-syndicated Mark & Brian Show on 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles from 1990 to 1994, during the station's ratings heyday and when the show was number one in the market. She has also run her own video production company and worked as Rock Editor of former music industry trade publication Album Network.
