Music When the DotCom Boom Started
by Alex Cosper (12/26/12)

The Dotcom Bubble was a period from 1997 through 2000 when many new companies entered the stock market and experienced big growth attracting investors, although many of the companies never made profits. The companies that helped popularize the internet and other tech companies by the end of 1996 were AOL, founded in 1991, Amazon, founded in 1994, Yahoo, founded in 1995 and Google founded in 1996. Microsoft's Windows 95 was also helpful in accelerating the internet revolution. In 1997 Steve Jobs returned to Apple and began modernizing the company in innovative ways that would eventually make it a leader in the tech industry.
