It was not a Christmas song at all, but radio stations have played it as a holiday classic due to its winter theme. The controversy made national news just because a handful of stations decided not to not play it. The song has been covered by many artists and was never considered controversial prior to 2018. The 1949 movie was a romantic comedy. |
