Songs for Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day to honor people who have served in the military. Themes of war, victory and freedom surround the day. The playlist can feature traditional anthems such as "America The Beautiful, "My Country Til of Thee" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic." John Philip Souza's "Stars and Stripes Forever" is a more upbeat patriotic instrumental. Many radio stations do special countdowns of all time greatest songs or artists on Memorial Day Weekend.
