Little Rock, Arkansas is a haven for gospel and religious radio programming on both AM and FM. As far as public radio, one of the key stations is NPR and jazz station 89.1 KUAR from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. A public station that offers eclectic music is 88.3 KABF, which bills itself as The Voice of the People, which broadcasts at 100,000 watts. Other public stations include jazz station 89.7 KUAP from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, country station 90.9 KNFR and classical station 91.3 KUCA.
On the FM commercial dial the two hip hop stations are 92.3 KIPR and 101.1 KZTS while the three top 40 stations are 96.5 KHTE, 105.9 KLAZ and 107.7 KLAL. Country stations include 95.7 KSSN, 97.5 KQUS, 105.1 KMJX and 107.1 KCNY. While the rock format is not represented as of December 2012, rock fans may choose classic hits stations 94.1 KKPT, adult hits station 94.9 KHKN and alternative station 100.3 KDJE. Adult contemporary stations include 98.5 KURB and 106.3 KOLL. Talk can be heard at 93.3 KKSP while sports is heard on 92.7 KASR. The talk stations on AM include 670 KWXI, 690 KEWI amd 1300 KWCK.
