Top radio companies Clear Channel and CBS Radio were still billions in debt in 2010 according to
their respective earnings reports. The Radio Advertising Bureau reported that advertising revenue grew
6% the first half of the year. In November Clear Channel announced that MTV co-founder Bob Pittman
joined the company as "Chairman of Media and Entertainment Platforms." Clear Channel
ended the year nearly $20 billion in long term debt, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
